Safeguarding policy

We have a duty of care to the children and young people we provide services for. Children who come into contact with Amna and our partners must be safeguarded to the maximum possible extent from actions and failings that place them at risk of child abuse, be it physical or emotional abuse, neglect, negligent treatment, sexual abuse or exploitation.

Children is defined as anyone under the age of 18. This duty is legally binding on all Amna staff and volunteers and is outlined in the Child Safeguarding Policy.

All staff and volunteers who come into contact with children at Amna have undergone full police and criminal background checks in their country of origin.
