Amna is Responding to a Growing Mental Health Crisis in Palestine

The Crisis in Gaza

Since October 2023, most of Gaza’s 2.3 million people have become displaced.  Families have lost everything—homes, loved ones, and a sense of safety. The mental toll is immense, and the need for trauma-informed care is greater than ever.

What Amna Is Doing

At Amna, we are equipping local organizations to offer trauma-informed care and psychosocial support to those most affected. In the face of overwhelming adversity, we’ve taken action:

Trained 153 frontline workers from 43 organizations.
Shared critical techniques to address trauma, grief, and loss.
Trained teachers to provide trauma-informed care to students navigating these challenges.

Despite limited resources, we have reached hundreds of people. Yet, the scale of the crisis means there is still so much more to do.

Our Vision: A Three-Year Commitment to Resilience

To create lasting impact, we are raising funds to launch a three-year Community Partnerships Program in Palestine. This initiative will empower frontline workers to support their communities with resilience-building tools, long-term healing strategies, and trauma recovery resources.

Your Support Can Change Lives

This work cannot wait. Every donation helps us provide immediate, life-changing care to those who need it most. By contributing to our Palestine Response Fund, you can help us:
• Deliver trauma-informed training to more local organizations.
• Expand our reach to schools, community groups, and families.
• Foster inner safety, resilience, and collective joy in communities facing unimaginable hardship.

In Gaza, resilience is a lifeline. Together, we can ensure that healing trauma and nurturing hope are integral parts of humanitarian relief.
