What We Do
We ensure refugees and displaced people have access to the mental health and community support they need to heal, rebuild their lives and strengthen community resilience.
Our work goes beyond immediate support – we focus on healing, resilience, and long-term solutions.

How we work
We Prioritse Mental Health
Mental health support is often overlooked in refugee response, yet displacement is challenging and can be traumatic. We ensure refugees have access to the care they need to heal and rebuild their lives.
We Create Islands of Safety
Beyond survival, inner safety, grief care and hope-building are key to long term wellbeing and breaking cycles of trauma. We provide safe spaces where displaced communities can connect, restore, and move forward.
We Support Refugee Leadership
Founded by a former refugee, and shaped by team and board members with lived experience of conflict and displacement, Amna is committed to refugee leadership and centering lived experience.
We use Creative Tools
We use creative tools such as art, movement, storytelling and cultural practices to facilitate safe, emotional expression, healing and connection.
We Scale for Greater Impact
Our goal is to reach five million refugees in the next five years. By training frontline workers and supporting local organisations, we are building a global network of healing.
We Promote Collective Healing
Conflict and displacement are both collective and individual experiences. Amna creates spaces where communities heal together, while supporting individual healing journeys.
